Grasslands and the Statue of Chinggis Khan
You will be met by your guide and driver in your hotel lobby; a one-hour car transfer will then bring you to the edge of the capital. We start the day by cycling across vast open grasslands interspersed with gentle hills. Mongolia is a place where you can enjoy boundless expanses of open prairie and a true feeling of freedom.
Owing to the dry air, the sky is a brilliant, clear blue, allowing you to see all the way to the horizon. You will see the mushroom-like tents of nomadic Mongolians and their large herds of horses, goats, and sheep—a scene unchanged for hundreds of years. We ride on distinct car tracks with packed surfaces.
At the end of the ride, we visit the giant statue of Genghis Khan on horseback. The founder of the Mongol Empire is depicted resting his hand on a golden whip he found here; as legend suggests, this was interpreted as Heaven's approval of his mandate to rule the people of the steppe. Enjoy panoramic views of the vast steppe and rolling hills from the observation deck. Tonight, you will be accommodated in a comfortable holiday camp comprising traditional felt-covered tents known as gers.

Edge of Siberia and the land of nomads
Back on our bikes, we pedal across the wooded hillsides and open valleys of the Khentii Mountains, which mark the southern edge of the Siberian ecosystem. We enjoy a picnic lunch at the day’s highest point, with lush meadows and forested slopes serving as a stunning backdrop. In the afternoon, we ride gently across a wide, open grassy valley where numerous nomadic homes dot the landscape. We conclude our ride in the late afternoon and take a two-hour car journey back to Ulaanbaatar.
